Many excellent books have been written about global warming and climate change. ranging from popular books to scientific treatises. However, these books generally dwell extensively on certain specific aspects and very few books take a holistic view of the problem. This is what I aim to do in my next book..

After the publication of my first book “Satellite Meteorology” in 2006 and my second book on “Monsoon Prediction” in 2008, I have now taken up writing my third book entitled “Climate Change – A Holistic View” which will have a special focus on India. I intend to cover six broad topics in this book, (1) Understanding climate change, (2) Climate monitoring, (3) Climate Modelling and prediction, (4) Likely impacts over India, (5) Economic and politics of climate change, and (6) Preparing for the future.

The readers of my blog are invited to send their suggestions and ideas about any aspect that they consider important and which they feel should be covered in my proposed book. I would also like to receive pdf or ms-word versions of published papers relevant to any of the above topics. These may please be sent by email to kelkar_rr@yahoo.com. Any material used by me would of course be duly acknowledged in the book.
