On 19 April 2011, the India Meteorological Department announced its long range forecast that rainfall over India in the coming southwest monsoon season is most likely to be normal.

Inspired by this good news, I have sketched the monsoon clouds pouring rain over mountains and valleys, the brown earth turning green, the streams joining the rivers, the lakes and reservoirs overflowing.

Somewhat detached from this scene is my personal cloud, and I hold my cup beneath it to receive my own showers of blessing directly from above. And for sure, my cup runneth over! It always overflows, irrespective of whether the monsoon is normal or not, and my life remains filled with God’s goodness and mercy. (See Psalm 23:5 in the Bible)
