R/Sir,
I used to prepare reports frequently and require the climatological data often (E.g. max & min temperatures ever for the particular district in India, rainfall, humidity, wind speed), I have a book of IMD having such data from 1960-2000, but most of the time important districts are not covered in it. In that case how to get the required data for those districtions, which site to refer and how.
Please guide me. I will be thankful to you.

Dear Mahesh,
Stationwise data updated for 1980-2010 are now available. Please see http://www.imdpune.gov.in/advts/climate_normals_1981-2010.pdf for details.
About district normals I can understand your difficulty. However, the problem is that when a new district is created within a state, the required 30-year data may not be always available for stations in the newly carved out district. The new district may not even have a meteorological station within it. So districtwise meteorological normals may not get updated as soon as a new district gets created. For your purposes, I suggest that you use the data available for a nearby district.
Best wishes,

Dear Ravindra,
I retired from the India Meteorological Department in 2003 and I am no longer involved in day-to-day weather forecasting. I suggest that you visit the IMD web site http://www.imd.gov.in/ and the IMD Pune web site http://www.imdpune.gov.in/ for the type of information that you are seeking.
Best wishes,
